Been driving past this place literally for at least a decade but never stopped. Tonight it was a targeted visit identified by my wife. Very glad we stopped in and especially enjoyed the two ladies that were working out front. An older gentleman sitting two booths away I overheard him say he eats there 3 times a day. Great comfort food at a very reasonable price and the decor is spot on from diners drive-ins and dives. First time ever to sit in a booth and had to pull the table closer. Really the staff could not have been any nicer. Even struck up a conversation with the ladies sitting between us and the older gentleman previously identified. I suspect we will be back, next time for breakfast. Judge it for what it is and and not compare it to a more expensive place with an artisanal "fancy" menu.

After a successful PT visit, let’s hope the healing is heading in the correct direction this time, it was time for breakfast. It had been a long time since we had eaten at Anglea’s and I can’t say why we hadn’t gone back. Clearly, that has been a bad decision on our parts. We were warmly greeted upon entering and immediately seated at a table. Menus are on the table, but we were asked right what we would like to drink. We both requested ice water and coffee and I was happy they also have French Vanilla creamer. The menu is huge with many mouth watering items. I vacillated between chicken fried steak or chicken and waffles. After learning I could choose the chicken pieces, I went for the chicken and waffles, picking 2 wings and a breast. It also came with 2 eggs which I chose to have scrambled. Ray ordered the waffle breakfast with a sausage patty and eggs. Of course when given the opportunity to add strawberries and whipping cream, it was a resounding yes. Meryl, our server, was a real hoot with lots of personality. So was the other server whose name I did not catch. She had no problem bringing more coffee and refilling our water glasses, instead of ONLY servicing her tables. I saw both of them taking care of all of the other patrons in the restaurant. Meryl informed me, when I made my selection, the chicken would take some time to prepare as it is cooked to order. That was fine with me. When it arrived at the table it was obvious, as it was fresh and piping hot. Ray’s waffle was covered in fresh, red, ripe strawberries. They were not pale and tired looking. Everything was delicious. Ray is a HUGE fan of carrot cake. I ordered a slice to go, so he will be having it with his dinner tonight. I will edit my review once he has tasted it. The decor is sort of ‘50’s style but nothing is old and outdated. The chairs may look like the ‘50’s but they are definitely NOT old, tired or worn out. Our meal was wonderful and we will definitely be back. The entire restaurant was clean, bright, shiny, very welcoming and appealing. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!

Adorable little quaint place. Excellent service, great environment if you like 1940s/50s aesthetic. I ended up getting the Taco omelet along with their chicken fried steak, chick fried steak was a GREAT size. Can't tell you how many places I've tried this meal only to have it being way to small for the price. Taco omelet was tasty with clearly fresh veggies as I requested some extra peppers and mushrooms, no complaints! Will definitely be back for a lunch or dinner in the future.

Cozy diner that serves really good food that resembles home cooked meals. Friendly and tasty!

Lived in perice county for 19 years and drove past little hole in the wall restaurant almost every day never stopped in to eat. Boss took crew out for Xmas breakfast. First-time eating a chicken fried steak amazingly juicy or my mouth was watering cause looked so good. Covered in a creamy white gravy, fry country potatoes, toast. It's a Big Breakfast 10/10 best breakfast. I wanted to try one of their cinnamon rolls that was as big as a plate. But had to loosen my belt maybe next time.

Been here a few times and each time does not dissapoint. The ladies working here are so nice and welcoming. The chicken is so good!!! but the Jojo's are the biggest Ive seen by far! and the sour cream sauce to go with it is delicious. Their dessert case is beautiful, all homemade old fashioned cakes and pies. Must go if you haven't already!!!

Had a very good breakfast at Anglea's. Cool, old style decor, and very clean, it's what diners used to be like. Plenty to choose from on the menu, and cinnamon rolls the size of your head, lol, not to mention the pies. The best service and everyone there welcomed you. Can't wait to try lunch next.

We drove by and the sign out front made us giggle so we went back. The chicken is rumored to be the best but sadly, we didnt have the chicken. Literally everything we did have was flavorful and delicious; cooked perfectly. Food was quick, our server was fantastic. Absolutely a great time.
